Ingredient compatibility
Hyaluronic Acid + Phenoxyethanol: Are They Compatible?
No label conflict foundInformation from the FDA label and published sources. Not medical advice.
Why
Phenoxyethanol is a widely used preservative system that maintains microbiological stability without interfering with hyaluronic acid's water-binding capacity. These ingredients coexist in the same formulation pH range (4.5-6.5) and do not chemically react. Phenoxyethanol does not oxidize, degrade, or alter the hygroscopic function of hyaluronic acid polymers.
